F-35 Engine War Costly, Wasteful

When it comes to cutting federal spending, the hardest habit for Congress to break is funding wasteful programs that create jobs back home. Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass., proved that point when he decided to support a multi-billion-dollar "alternate engine" for the Pentagon's next fighter aircraft, even though the military says it doesn't need the engine.
