Mikyla Reta is a research associate for Energy and Environment Policy at American Progress, focusing on climate change policy. Prior to joining American Progress, she worked for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives as a staff assistant/legislative correspondent. Before joining Capitol Hill, Reta worked on Rep. Katie Porter’s (D-CA) congressional campaign and served in the environment and sustainability department at the City of Manhattan Beach. She is originally from Orange County, California, and holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
