Jonathan Goodman is a senior director of institutional giving at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, he was the director of development and communications at Champions for Children, a child abuse prevention nonprofit in Tampa Bay, Florida. Goodman has also previously held institutional and individual fundraising roles across several New York- and Florida-based organizations focused on gender-based violence, education, immigrant rights, and various social service programs. He holds a master’s degree in philanthropic studies from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and a bachelor’s degree focused on mental health and housing policy from New York University. Goodman is a Washington, D.C., native and lives in the area with his family.
