Aloha Backenstose is the senior motion graphics producer for the Digital Advocacy team at American Progress. They grew up in Arlington, Virginia, and recently graduated from James Madison University, where they studied both film production and film studies. Much of their work, including an award-winning short documentary, centers on the experiences of minority groups. Prior to becoming a full-time staff member, Backenstose was an intern with the Production department.
