Scott Schuler is the associate director of video for the Digital Advocacy team at American Progress. Schuler is an experienced video creator whose work blends creative storytelling with savvy political messaging. With the Heritage Farming Group, he produced 24 video ads spanning 10 states to protect climate-smart agriculture in the 2024 Farm Bill. For the National Democratic Training Committee, he spearheaded an organic YouTube strategy to train more than 2,000 Democratic candidates in the 2022 midterms. With the Democratic PAC Acronym, Schuler produced more than 100 innovative video ads that garnered millions of views and influenced voters in swing states to elect President Joe Biden. Before working in politics, he edited the Shudder original feature film “A Nightmare Wakes” and associate-produced the Epix (now MGM+) feature documentary “Straight/Curve: Redefining Body Image.” An alumnus of the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs and the New York Civil Liberties Union community organizing fellowship, Schuler works to elect Democrats and build progressive organizations. And when he’s not doing that, he enjoys lifting weights and playing with his puppy, Prince.
