Sofia Carratala is the special assistant for Immigration Policy at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she worked as a fellow with Voto Latino, assisting the organization with voter registration outreach, event planning, and issue area research. Carratala earned her bachelor’s degree in international politics from Georgetown University. She is a native of Miami, Florida.
