Prior to joining American Progress, she served as a legislative intern for Sen. Jeff Merkley’s (D-OR) office and Congressman Seth Moulton’s (D-MA) office in Washington, D.C. Mandala holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in both political science/international relations and Africana studies.
