Hannah Mast

Hannah Mast is a policy analyst on the Conservation Policy team at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she was a Knauss Policy fellow for Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD). She holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Ph.D. in environmental sciences from the University of Virginia, where she researched how climate affects vegetation in coastal wetlands. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and hiking.
