Allie Pearce is a policy analyst for K-12 Education at American Progress. She previously worked on expanding equitable access to high-quality career and technical education opportunities through a graduate fellowship at Advance CTE. Prior to her time there, she worked part time as an assistant preschool teacher and later interned for the Food Research & Action Center; the Learning Policy Institute; and the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Grinnell College in her home state of Iowa and her master’s degree in education advocacy and policy from Georgetown University.
