Bayliss Fiddiman is a senior policy analyst for K-12 Education at American Progress. She comes to American Progress from the Education Law Center, where she worked on a variety of issues, including school funding, charter school and voucher program expansion, and special education. Prior to that, she participated in a leadership development fellowship with the Educational Testing Service, where her portfolio focused on educational equity.
During her time in law school, Fiddiman completed internships with Northeastern University’s Office of the General Counsel, Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, Boston Police Department, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. After law school, she worked as a legal fellow with the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project, investigating cold cases of anti-civil rights violence.
Fiddiman received her B.A. in legal studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with Commonwealth Honors College distinction. She earned her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
