Madison Weiss is a senior policy analyst for Higher Education Policy at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she served as the senior policy associate on federal accountability at the Institute for College Access & Success. As a native Californian, she earned her bachelor’s degree in social sciences with an emphasis in psychology from the University of Southern California at Los Angeles and moved to Washington, D.C., in 2017, where she earned her master’s degree in educational transformation at Georgetown University.

Her favorite things to do in Washington include shopping at her local farmers market every Sunday, visiting the many museums, and taking long walks throughout the city.
