Ashley Jeffrey is a policy analyst for K-12 Education at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she worked on health care and child welfare policies at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the nation’s largest LGBTQ civil rights advocacy organization. In her role, she worked on the Healthcare Equality Index, a national benchmarking tool that evaluates the LGBTQ inclusivity of health care facilities’ policies and practices.
Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in urban studies with a minor in African and African American studies from Washington University in St. Louis and also holds a master’s degree in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
