Joel Martinez is a senior policy analyst for National Security and International Policy at American Progress. Martinez received his master’s degree from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California, San Diego, where he focused on international politics and economic development within Latin America. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Latin American and Latino studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is also a proud alum of Ohlone Community College in Fremont, California.
