Laura Edwards is a China policy analyst with the National Security and International Policy department at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she worked at a communications consulting firm, where she focused on digital media strategy for environmental and reproductive rights nonprofits.

Edwards graduated from Pomona College with a degree in environmental analysis, with a focus on international climate and environmental policy. Edwards lived in southern China for 13 years and maintains professional proficiency in Mandarin.
