Ryan Zamarripa is the associate director of Economic Policy at American Progress, where he collaborates across multiple departments to analyze the economic impacts of the Trump administration’s policies. His original work has been drafted into federal legislation proposals and cited in The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. Zamarripa received a master’s degree in economics from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Tulane University.
Prior to joining American Progress, Zamarripa held the Nancy Hale Economics Fellowship at the think tank Third Way and worked at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. He also served as an education volunteer with the Peace Corps in Tanzania.
