Abel McDaniels is a research associate for K-12 Education at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, he taught social studies. Previously, he interned at Public Citizens for Children and Youth, where he focused on charter school oversight, high school quality, and a fair school funding formula for Pennsylvania.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
