Alex Rothman
Policy Analyst
Alex Rothman is a Policy Analyst with the National Security and International Policy team at American Progress, where his work focuses primarily on U.S. military policy. At American Progress, he has helped author studies on topics such as defense budget reform, the TRICARE military health care system, and the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.”
Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Brown University. Prior to joining American Progress, he studied Japanese nuclear policy in Tokyo, Japan, and spent a summer at the Center for Arms Control and Nonproliferation. His work has been featured in Foreign Policy, CNN Money, Politico, The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, and The National Interest.
