Marcus Phelps

Legal Assistant

Marcus Phelps is a Legal Assistant at American Progress, working under Debbie Fine. Prior to coming to American Progress, Marcus completed the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There he consulted for Bayer HealthCare, a nonprofit law firm, and the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. He also worked with Brooks Brothers to coordinate a Dress for Success program for young men in Pittsburgh. Marcus graduated from the University of Akron in May 2011 with a degree in economics, minor in Spanish, and certificate in racial conflict. His interests are in law, business creation, and mens’ professional wear. In his free time he enjoys dancing and reading nonfiction.
