Steven Jessen-Howard is a research assistant for Early Childhood Policy at the Center for American Progress. Prior to joining CAP, he researched child abuse and neglect prevention with Every Child Matters and provided legal assistance to individuals with criminal histories at the Northern Indiana Restorative Justice and Reentry Clinic. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame.
