Jamal Hagler is the Research Assistant for Progress 2050. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jamal holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Howard University. During his undergraduate years he spent two summers as a research intern at the Institute for Wisconsin’s Future, a progressive policy think tank in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While working for the Institute for Wisconsin’s Future, Jamal worked to shed light on corporate tax dodging strategies and developing policies to close these corporate tax loopholes.
