David Sanchez

Special Assistant

David Sanchez is a Special Assistant with the Economic Policy team at American Progress, where he works on housing finance and policy and other economic issues. Previously he interned at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where he analyzed and wrote about policies to increase access to federal nutrition programs. He has also worked with the city of Philadelphia’s Finance Department and with an organization in Indonesia that studies the legacies of political violence and authoritarianism. David holds a master’s degree in sociology from Cambridge University, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Haverford College.
