Juliana Herman

Education Policy Analyst

Juliana Herman is a Policy Analyst with the Education Policy team at American Progress. Her work focuses on fiscal equity and school finance. In law school Juliana was a student co-director of Yale’s Education Adequacy Project and worked on CCJEF v. Rell, a school finance suit challenging the constitutionality of Connecticut’s school funding system. She also worked at the U.S. Department of Education on the development of the Race to the Top—Early Learning Challenge. Prior to law school Juliana worked at the White House Council on Environmental Quality and as a data manager and voter analyst for the 2008 Obama presidential campaign.

Juliana received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. in political science and American history from the University of Pennsylvania.
