Farah Ahmad is a Policy Analyst for Progress 2050 at American Progress. Previously, she served on the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee and the 2012 Obama campaign in Iowa. Before the 2012 campaign, she obtained her master’s degree in public affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, where she studied public policy and performed policy analysis for governments and international organizations. Before graduate school, Farah worked for a number of years in policy, politics, community outreach, and legislative affairs.
Farah did her undergraduate studies at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations and began her career in the labor movement working as a research analyst, creating strategic plans to provide community benefits for economic-development projects. She has also worked on myriad other domestic issues, including advocacy projects for health care reform in 2008 and renewable energy and conservation policy.
