Natalie Baker is a director of economic analysis for Inclusive Economy at American Progress. She is passionate about using the tools of economics to create a more just and sustainable future for all. Prior to joining American Progress, Baker worked across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors, including as a director at the Australian government’s economic advice agency and as a senior consultant for public sector clients at KPMG. Her research and analysis has informed policies across a range of areas including labor markets, social services, economic development, child care, justice, higher education, and climate policy.

Baker holds a master’s in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, a master’s of international and development economics from the Australian National University, and a bachelor of economics/bachelor of arts (first class honors) from The University of Sydney.
