States, districts, teacher preparation programs, and nonprofit organizations throughout the United States are recognizing the importance of modernizing and elevating the teaching profession as a strategy for improving schools and student outcomes. This interactive tool provides examples of programs and initiatives across the country working to improve the systems along the teacher pipeline, from recruitment and preparation to compensation and career pathways.

Stephenie Johnson is the associate campaign director for K-12 Education Policy at the Center for American Progress. Mathew Brady is an interactive designer.
