Guillermo Ortiz is a research assistant for Energy and Environment at the Center for American Progress. Prior to joining CAP, he worked on housing and financial services issues in the U.S. Senate for Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ). Ortiz is a proud alumnus of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s public policy fellowship and the Clean Energy Leadership Institute’s fellowship training program. He earned his bachelor’s degree in global environmental change and sustainability from Johns Hopkins University.
