Bianca Majumder is a research associate for Energy and Environment Policy at American Progress, focusing on domestic energy policy. Prior to joining American Progress, Majumder completed a dual major in geoscience and biology with a focus on paleoclimate at the University of Miami. She also received her master’s degree in climate remote sensing from the University of Miami, where she researched the link between climate change, conflict, and humanitarian crises, while outlining how remote sensing data could help define environmental and water policy objectives. Majumder was active in grassroots environmental advocacy at the state level and has advised congressional candidates on aspects of science-based policy.
