Nora Ellmann is a research assistant for women’s health and rights for the Women’s Initiative at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Ellmann participated in the Avodah Jewish Service Corps, working as a legal assistant and volunteer coordinator at the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, which provides legal services to detained immigrants in the DMV region. Ellmann received her bachelor’s degree in development studies from Brown University, where she focused on Latin America and movements for reproductive rights.
