This panel will discuss the country’s domestic workforce strategy holistically, including the reauthorization of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) as well as the implementation of the CHIPS and Science Act, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act, in the context of global competitiveness. It will explore what is and what is not working in the federal workforce system, taking into account labor market changes and post-pandemic employment.
