Washington, D.C. — Neera Tanden, president and CEO of the Center for American Progress, released the following statement on last night’s terrorist attack in Manchester, England:
The Center for American Progress extends its deepest sympathies to the victims of the reprehensible terrorist attack in Manchester and to all British people.
To strike at a concert attended by many children, teenagers, and their families shows there is no bound to terrorists’ desire to cause chaos and inflict great harm. As the people of England have stood by and supported the United States in times of tragedy, so too must all Americans lend our support to those affected by this attack on innocent people.
