Trevor Higgins is the senior director of Domestic Climate and Energy Policy at American Progress. He previously worked for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) of California as the legislative assistant responsible for energy, transportation, and climate change. Before that, he worked at the U.S. Department of Energy in the office of the chief financial officer as a Presidential Management Fellow, serving a detail at the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, and Related Agencies. Higgins earned a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
