President Donald Trump ordered an air strike this past Thursday that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps’ Quds Force. President Trump made this decision without consulting Congress or preparing the American public or our allies for what might come next. While Soleimani was responsible for operations that have targeted and killed Americans, the president’s attack will have severe consequences for the region and greatly affect the United States’ relationships with other countries.
