In early 2015, the Center for American Progress visited six school districts throughout the country that are empowering teachers to lead the way to successful implementation of the Common Core. While these districts are geographically and socioeconomically diverse, they each allow teachers to assume significant leadership roles and engage in key decisions about how to implement the standards, paving the way for a smooth transition to the Common Core.
