ONLINE EVENT ADVISORY: The Pro-Democracy Faith Movement

Washington, D.C. — Months before the seditious attack on the nation’s Capitol on January 6, many religious Americans knew that the survival of U.S. democracy hung in the balance. Faith communities from diverse traditions, ideologies, and backgrounds were critical to protecting the 2020 election. Now, as democracy continues to come under threat, faith communities have persisted in resisting disinformation and voter suppression while ensuring that all Americans are entitled to their voices and votes.

Please join the Center for American Progress to hear from prominent faith leaders about America’s pro-democracy faith movement. They will share their vision for what it takes to build a more inclusive democracy based on their wisdom traditions rooted in hope, resilience, and systemic transformation.
