The Center for American Progress is holding a review of best practices in federal IT projects. Media are invited to attend the keynote address for this event from Richard Spires, Chief Information Officer at the Department of Homeland Security and Vice Chairman at the Federal CIO Council. Following the address, there will be six workshops to "stress test" case studies presented by a wide variety of federal agencies that will be closed to press coverage. The event will focus on developing recommendations on IT reform that will deliver better services to citizens and maximize value for taxpayers.
