Proposals from CAP's Mortgage Finance Working Group

CAP's Mortgage Finance Working Group offers materials to reform our housing finance system.

The Mortgage Finance Working Group, organized by the Center for American Progress, has put together the following materials that contain proposals for reforming our housing finance system.

The first is a slideshow entitled, "A Reponsible Secondary Market System for Housing Finance," which outlines what a reformed secondary market for housing finance would look like.

The second is the Mortgage Finance Working Group’s response to a notice and request for information from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of the Treasury on reform of the housing finance system.
