Exclusive Call: Leading the Charge for LGBT Equality

12:00 - 12:30 PM EST

This past year has seen unprecedented progress for the LGBT community. Despite this summer’s historic Supreme Court decision, we all know that we cannot mistake our progress for victory. That is why the Center for American Progress (CAP) has helped lead the charge for the Equality Act, a comprehensive LGBT non-discrimination bill that will afford LGBT people the same protections afforded to other Americans. Our effort on the Equality Act began with the release of our 2014 report, We The People, and continues into 2016 as we continue to educate the public on the need for action.

Please join Center for American Progress President and CEO Neera Tanden, as well as experts from CAP’s LGBT team, to discuss our recent successes, examine policy prescriptions, and to explore a pathway to full federal equality for LGBT Americans.

Participants will include:

Neera Tanden
President & CEO
Center for American Progress and Center for American Progress Action Fund

Winnie Stachelberg
Executive Vice President, External Affairs
Center for American Progress and Center for American Progress Action Fund

Laura E. Durso

Director, LGBT Research and Communications Project
