Exclusive Call: Iran Negotiations Deadline

The U.S.-led negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program are in their final, most complex stage. The June 30 deadline for a comprehensive final agreement between the P5+1 and Iran could mark the culmination of a two-year long negotiations process and usher in a legacy achievement for the Obama administration, or it could mark the failure of the peaceful negotiations process, pushing the U.S. and Iran into an even more tense period of competition. Even if U.S. and Iranian negotiators successfully reach a comprehensive agreement, they’ll each face skeptics at home that could scuttle a deal before implementation.
