She’s a single mother with a 3-year-old whose father is in prison for robbery, a full-time cosmetology student trying to finish school and get a better job. And here she was, confronting a pregnancy she didn’t want.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous to protect her privacy, tried for weeks to get an abortion. But she lives in Texas, one of a handful of states that have moved to ban the procedure under the false, political pretense that pregnancies can be put on hold without consequence until the coronavirus pandemic ends.
