This is the third video in the “State Voting Rights Acts: Explained” video series created by the Center for American Progress and the Legal Defense Fund (LDF). In this video, Rebecca Mears, former director of Democracy at CAP, and Sean Morales-Doyle, director of the Voting Rights Program at the Brennan Center for Justice, discuss how state voting rights acts can protect voters and election officials from harassment and intimidation. These legislative protections not only keep individual participants safe but also defend the sanctity of U.S. elections.
