Investing in Educators Through the American Families Plan

Teach Plus and partner organizations sent this letter to Congress asking that $9 bullion in funding be included in the American Families Plan to train, equip, and diversify the teacher workforce. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated inequities and heightened challenges facing the teaching profession, so additional funding is needed to address teacher shortages, improve teacher preparation, strengthen pipelines for teachers of color, invest in educator leadership, and support current teachers in earning in-demand credentials.
