Illinois Pediatrician Discusses the Challenges Adolescents Face in Accessing Reproductive Health Care

In addition to the normal stressors of adolescence, many teens now worry about the impact of abortion bans on their ability to seek and receive reproductive health care.

Adolescents already face many barriers to accessing comprehensive reproductive health care. Pediatrician Stephanie Liou treats predominantly low-income and underserved populations who face even more barriers. The overturn of Roe and abortion bans in other states have caused more misinformation and confusion for teens seeking care, and as a pediatrician, Stephanie educates teens on their health care options and their rights.
