TOMORROW: Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy to Speak on the Success of Connecticut’s Health Care Marketplace

Washington, D.C. — Tomorrow, May 13, the Center for American Progress will host a conversation with Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy (D) to discuss the success of Connecticut’s healthcare marketplace and the lessons learned for the future.

The effectiveness of state Affordable Care Act marketplaces varied widely throughout the initial open enrollment period. Some states continue to struggle with technical difficulties, while others have proven to be enormously successful. Connecticut’s state marketplace has become a model of effectiveness. It was the first state to reach enrollment goals and eventually doubled them. With the next open enrollment period coming in November, there is much that can be learned from Connecticut’s success.
