EVENT ADVISORY: Rally to Protect the Vote and End Voter Roll Purges at U.S. Supreme Court

Washington, D.C. — On January 10, while the U.S. Supreme Court hears oral arguments in the landmark voting rights case Husted v. A. Philip Randolph Institute—a challenge to Ohio’s voter roll purges—members of Ohio’s congressional delegation will be joined by voting rights advocates to rally outside the court in opposition to voter roll purges.

The case will have national implications, as a number of states have already passed—or intend to enact—similar laws to exclude legal voters for partisan political gain. Common Cause and Center for American Progress are organizing the rally, which will feature prominent voting rights leaders, as well as plaintiffs and litigators in the case, and creative signage.
