ADVISORY PRESS CALL, MONDAY: New Poll Shows Small Business Owners’ Views on Denying Services to LGBT Customers Based on Religious Beliefs

Washington, D.C. ­— Advocacy group Small Business Majority, along with the Center for American Progress and the American Unity Fund will host a telepress call on Monday, July 13 at 11:45 a.m. ET / 10:45 a.m. CT / 8:45 a.m. PT to reveal the results of a new scientific opinion poll discussing small businesses’ attitudes toward refusing goods or services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, or LGBT, individuals, including denying services related to same-sex weddings, based on an owner’s religious beliefs. The poll will also reveal small business owners’ views on enacting explicit protections for LGBT people against discrimination in public accommodations and employment.
