“CAP Changemakers” is a new series of compelling conversations in which current and former Center for American Progress staff share the inside stories behind the building of progressive policies that have improved the lives of everyday Americans throughout the 20 years of CAP’s history.

Please join us for the first video of the series, “Pathway to the ACA,” featuring CAP’s Senior Vice President of Inclusive Growth Emily Gee and former CAP Director of Health Policy Karen Davenport. Emily and Karen discuss CAP’s role in developing the policies and building the coalitions that led to the Affordable Care Act, which created new opportunities for every American to access affordable health care.

The positions of American Progress, and our policy experts, are independent, and the findings and conclusions presented are those of American Progress alone. A full list of supporters is available here. American Progress would like to acknowledge the many generous supporters who make our work possible.
