Yesterday the Senate passed S. 744, the “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act,” with a strong bipartisan vote, 68-32. As amended in the Judiciary Committee and on the floor of the Senate, the bill is a strategic overhaul of our nation’s immigration laws.
