The United States’ Federal Courts Are Critical in the Fight Against Climate Change

The judiciary and courts are critical in the fight against climate change, and environmental judges are essential to protecting the nation's future.

The United States’ federal courts and judiciary are a critical part of the fight against climate change. An upcoming Supreme Court case, West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency, threatens the government’s ability not only to enact climate change protections but also to establish protections around additional, more wide-ranging issues such as food safety, workplace safety, and ensuring access to birth control.
