Supporting the Safe Schools Improvement Act (H.R. 4402/S. 2410)

Led by GLSEN, this letter expresses support for the Safe Schools Improvement Act.

In this letter, GLSEN and partner organizations express support for the Safe Schools Improvement Act, legislation that would establish federal standards to protect every student from bullying and harassment in K-12 schools—regardless of actual or perceived race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or religion. The bill provides state and local education agencies with flexibility to make schools safer, removes barriers to educational opportunity, and promotes student achievement and well-being.
