Anti-Hunger Advocate Vouches for SNAP

There is no room for cuts to SNAP, but President Trump wants to slash benefits anyway—raise your voice to fight back.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits routinely fail to last a full month for families across the country. Averaging just $1.40 per person, per meal, SNAP benefits force recipients to look to other options to make sure that they don’t go to bed hungry. Mary Ann turned to food pantries when faced with these dire circumstances and now runs her own food pantry decades later. She shares her experience to show why any cuts to SNAP are unacceptable.
